thirty days of female awesome

day twenty: favorite female antagonist - marisa coulter (his dark materials)

“I told him I was going to betray you, and betray Lyra, and he believed me because I was corrupt and full of wickedness; he looked so deep I felt sure he’d see the truth. But I lied too well. I was lying with every nerve and fiber and everything I’d ever done…I wanted him to find no good in me, and he didn’t. There is none.”

And I’m Back!

This semester really slayed me… I had hardly anytime to read anything that wasn’t for school but I’ve been reading like a mad woman lately to catch up.

I’ve queued up some of my latest reads but there isn’t any commentary. (I’ll try to back track and add it later if I can!)

#28: The Great Perhaps by Joe Meno
It’s official. The Dollar Tree is my new go-to spot for books.
I cannot even begin to describe how much I adore this book.  Jonathan and Madeline were made for each other and functioned in the most bizarre ways when they were apart. Thisbe was perfect in every way, I wanted to slap, hug and be Amelia’s best friend, Henry was adorable and I want to marry him even though he’s old and, well dead…
I wish I could write something even half as wonderful as this book. Maybe I should pray?
